RTFKT x Nike AR Genesis Hoodie

After the release of Nike’s Crytokicks last week, RTFKT is ready to release more in the metaverse and in the real world. The RTFKT x Nike AR Genesis Hoodie will be released as both a digital piece and a physical piece. This means that the product will be available to the RTFKT (CloneX) digital avatar, and to its owner, in real life. RTFKT posted one of the pieces on Twitter, which reveals an anime character wearing a black hoodie with Nike branding and RTFKT on the front, back and sleeves.

Adidas: Into the Metaverse 2

Owners of Adidas’ “Into the Metaverse” NFT can now claim the physical merchandise and advance to Phase 2 of the project. To claim physical items, token owners are required to burn the Phase 1 NFT. There is no fee to go through the item request process, however there will be an Ethereum network gas fee. According to information from the project’s official website, the graphic hoodie and beanie by artist gmoney will ship in May. The tracksuit will be made to order and shipped only at the end of the year, in November. Into the Metaverse is a collective NFT project between adidas Originals and NFT world pioneers gmoney, Bored Ape Yacht Club and PUNKS Comic.

Otherside: Launch of Otherdeeds

55,000 NFTs (Otherdeeds) were sold at 305 APE each (about $5,800). The launch alone brought approximately $318.7 million in sales for Yuga Labs. More than $242 million of Otherdeed sales were secondary sales, with nearly $200 million of that volume being traded on OpenSea. The launch, however, caused the gas rates on the Ethereum block to jump to 8000 GWEI, as a result of the enthusiasm on the part of the buyers and the “success” of the project. The large number of users and NFTs caused a gas war on the Ethereum network, and the traffic and high demand caused the Etherscan website to stop working for some. Yuga Labs, the company responsible for the launch, is currently working on refunding gas fees for all users with unsuccessful transactions. In addition, they also commented on a possible solution to the problem. According to the group, the idea is to migrate ApeCoin to its own blockchain. Otherdeed is the key to claiming land on Otherside (Yuga Labs’ metaverse). Each has a unique combination of environments and sediments.

Alec Monopoly: Rags to Richie

In an interview with France’s Forbes magazine, Alec Monopoly commented that the collection of NFTs Rags to Richie is a generative art project he has been working on for a year. He also comments that the project will revolve around a new character that he has been developing for five years. According to the artist, he cares about the community and intends to attribute uses to his NFTs, which the owners of the exclusive pieces of art will be able to enjoy. NFTs will also allow immediate access to exclusive events, the first of which will be at Art Basel Miami in December. There is still no Discord channel or release date. However, the artist posts updates about the project on Twitter, on a dedicated community page.

McLaren MSO LAB:

McLaren, the famous British sports car company, is launching a platform on Web3 as a way of expanding its current and exclusive customization division, the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) Lab. McLaren’s first NFT series “Genesis Collection” will launch on May 11. The launch will be invite-only, meaning car owners of the brand will be prioritized. The luxury car maker’s NFT marketplace is supported by InfiniteWorld and the project roadmap includes the launch of the McLaren Automotive channel on Discord, tickets to exclusive McLaren events, digital sketches illustrating the design process, a virtual behind-the-scenes tour of McLaren headquarters, among other experiences, both in the digital world and in real life.
